Thank You to My Teammates, Coaching Staff, & Baseball Fans!!!

Posted by on Aug 2, 2014

I’d like to personally thank my manager, Ryan Stevens for allowing me to play professional baseball for the Alpine Cowboys this season… Thank you Ryan for whatever you saw in me to make you believe that I can still pitch despite being 50 years old. This “Ageless Arm” might have a lot of mileage, however, it doesn’t mean I don’t know how how to win, compete, or bring something to the team to make it better… When given the opportunity, I’ll always make the best of it… I enjoyed my travels, especially my great teammates, and I look forward to being back in Alpine for the 2015 season. Despite losing in the championship game to Santa Fe, those that return will be eager for a competitive fight and rivalry. “We all play to win championships, that’s a given. In the final game, one team wins and celebrates, the other team loses and goes home. It’s up to the losing team to try to understand what happened and fix it, so the next time you’re prepared and experienced for anything that comes at you. A good winner understands how to lose with dignity and respect for the other team. We’ll go home and think about it through the winter. By spring time, the sting will have...
